Tiigrigna “Mekelle Business”. The magazine contain business highlights of
the three months, advice on business practices, expert opinions on business
issues, messages and announcements of the Chamber. This serves the business
community by providing quality business news and information to promote
trade and investment, to stimulate new business and create real jobs.
THE CHAMBER
DOCUMENTATION CENTER

The Mekelle Chamber of Commerce and Sectorial Association manages a
documentation center as part of its business information services. The
center contains works of references, trade directories of businesses in
various countries, Government publications, trade inquiries, cd-roms …etc.
Members of the chamber and others are provided with Internet search, and
e-mail services. The Chamber also provides its members with advisory
services, on various matters such as new project ideas and opportunities,
business procedures, regulations of Governments and others.

THE CHAMBER FORUM

The Chamber Forum is designed to discuss and exchange ideas with leaders of
the private and public sectors. All Forum speakers and panel participants
are recognized leaders honored for their high level of objectivity and
integrity as well as patented knowledge. Furthermore, conferences, seminars,
and symposiums are organized on new Government laws, policies, regulations
and other relevant issues.
BUSINESS MISSIONS

The MCCSA strives to strengthen the relationship and co-operation of itself
and its members with counterpart organizations and partners in the sectors
of International Trade, and Investment. Strengthening friendly cooperative
relations by promoting the exchange of business delegates from time to time,
and the exchange of publications and other information related to trade,
technology and the economy in general, is mutually advantageous in promoting
investment and trade relations in various fields. Thus, the Chamber serves
as a link between its members and foreign companies by hosting trade
missions and providing forums for the exchange of opinions. It also
organizes trade missions to different countries and facilitates the
establishment of business contacts. The Chamber receives visitors from
various countries and organizes business trips for its members abroad.
THE TRADE FAIR

Organizing and participating in trade fairs is one of the effective
mechanisms of trade promotion. The MCCSA undertakes and/or facilitates
promotional activities, involving trade fairs and the organization of
buyer's and seller's missions abroad. The Chamber has now made it a
tradition to stage the "Tigray Mobile Trade Fair and Exhibition", a national
standard trade fair organized every year in different towns of the Tigray
region. The Chamber's Trade Fair has become a widely attended event
attracting more and more exhibitors and visitors each year. Participants of
these Trade Fairs have continually reported successes and positive growth in
their businesses.
NETWORKING

The Chamber undertakes an extensive networking activity with partners inside
the country and abroad to:

Provide each other with
information about investment and cooperative activities in industries,
trade, and development of technology.

Exchange information
about products and industrial processes that may be available, industrial
training, sources of financing, offers and requests for joint ventures and
licensing and identification of possible partners.

Exchange information on
all economic, commercial, communication, and also on specific business
sectors.
